The road from Charles de Gaulle to Petrovka took 5 hours. L returned to her hometown for a few days carrying only a small suitcase with a couple of suits and presents for her mother.
Going up to the third floor of the restored mansion, L thought for a second about which door to enter, into the bedroom or into the living room at first. A subdued light turn on, and the shower in the century-old brick arch is sure to be cool. Today, L will have to work a little more, sitting on the sofa, but soon the most pleasant twilight Moscow will be outside the window.
